RANAU: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun has encouraged more business to invest in the district.

He made the call at the opening of a Singer branch in town recently.

Masidi praised the company’s initiative because it will not only provide convenience to the public in terms of choosing a product but also employment opportunities to resident in the area.

“With the Singer branch in the town, it will be able to provide an opportunity for the customers to choose a quality product at very reasonable rates,” he said.

（兰瑙廿日讯）大马胜家（Singer）有限公司日前在兰瑙，开设国内第七百间 分行，邀请了州旅游、文化及环境部长拿督马希迪曼俊，亲临主持开张仪式。

胜家兰瑙分行位于兰瑙县实果商业店，出席见证开张仪式者，包括：胜家（马）有限公司董事长叶仁华、沙巴州区域经理叶胜德、Allan Lee、Ng John Kit、兰瑙分行经理郑景荣、兰瑙县官法依明卡敏、兰瑙客家公会主席拿督谭育良及多位地方领袖和公众人士。

身兼卡拉纳安区州议员的拿督马希迪致词时，感谢大马胜家在兰瑙开设分行，不但为当地人提供就业机会，也让民众更方便地选购有素质及有品牌的家电产品。

同时，叶仁华在会上代表赠送32寸电视机予四间学校，包括育幼幼儿园、培文幼儿园、培文华小及兰瑙国小，履行该公司的社会责任。

配合开张仪式，兰瑙国小音乐及文化社在现场呈现锣鼓表演及民族舞蹈，现场还有醒狮表演、幸运抽奖游戏等。
 

Kuching: Singer (M) Sdn Bhd celebrated its 105th anniversary in the country by holding a lucky draw contest from 1 Nov, 2011 to 31 May, 2012.

Organised by Singer Kuching 2 Branch in Satok together with the newly opened Singer Sales Agent Shop at e-Mart, Matang, a “Cash Discount Voucher Give Away Promotion” was launched to give customers a chance to purchase Singer products at RM5 and RM30 off their recommended retail prices and allow them to participate in the lucky draw contest.

The draw and prize giving ceremony were held on 3 June, 2012 at Singer e-Mart.

Miri: The Singer (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd branch at Lot 293, Jalan Bendahara here will be organizing free servicing and sewing demonstrations this Saturday (May 12).

The event to be held in conjunction with the coming Mother’s Day is especially for owners of Singer sewing machines.

“All customers need to do is bring their sewing machines, whether old or new models to the shop, and our technicians will get them running again as good as new’” said Singer branch manager Fiona Joanne Lee.

The event would start at 10am to 4pm.
